Welcome to Sandy Creek Baptist Church

"Where the Living Water flows...."  Our passion here is to be a “Christ-Like” Church. And we strive to do that with relevant preaching and teaching of the Word of God, so as to see people born again through faith in Jesus, to see people empowered for life by the Holy Spirit, and to see people grow in a love relationship with God the Father. We would like to extend an invitation for you to come grow with us as we worship, serve, fellowship, and reach out to the world together.

We are located at 160 Bob Holman Rd, in Athens GA, just off of Hwy 441 north. Click here for directions and map.

A Note from Pastor Jeff Seymour

The Lord spoke a word into my spirit as we approached this new year and that was: "2012 is the year of the Supernatural Exodus". I believe it means that we are in a season where God is wanting to take His people out of the captivity of unfavorable living conditions and move us into a better life with Him. There are people all across our nation right now that are being held in bondage by the circumstances of life physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. And they wake up each day with less hope than they had a week ago, because they feel there is no way out of their captivity. Well, I will declare to you today there is hope, but it requires turning your focus away from the problems and onto the solution.  Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts and plans I have for you says the Lord, thoughts and plans for your welfare and peace, and not evil, to give you a hope and a blessed future..."  God is the solution to your problems of life, and in Him there is a good life for you to live in. We begin to walk in that life as we put our trust in His plans and follow Him. The first step is through believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior. It is recorded in John 10:10 that Jesus said, "He came that we might have life and that more abundantly"...He is the key to unlocking the bondages of your captivity...if you would just believe. The abundant, blessed life of God has been His plans all along for mankind, but it requires our faith in Him to enjoy that life. Would you do that today, would you ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life?
